Five- channel Video Installation for five monitors
Soundtrack by Mika Vainio
The oath of silence finds a social setting in the Omertà, which binds the members of the Sicilian Mafia to a law of secrecy and is also respected by the island’s population out of fear of reprisals from the Mafia. In five video sequences shown simultaneously on five monitors, heads of men and women appear against a black background. In extreme slow motion, the individuals turn towards the viewer, slowly opening their eyes. After gazing intensively at the viewer, they turn inward again and resume their former positions. To each figure a specific sound assigned to underscore its character.

Three-channel Video, Video Triptych
Soundtrack by Mika Vainio
Installation view, Galerie Anita Beckers Frankfurt
The work is based on found footage material of so-called Base Jumpers. The footage is showing a base jumper performing his skydive, which is officially banned. The material is worked with various modes of, at times, extremely decelerated motion. The jumping person seems to be captured in an eternal moment of limbo in time and space. The sound further underlines the bizarre character of the situation.

Video Installation
(sheet of squared paper, clips, nylon, thread, tripod, video projector, DVD player)
Installation view, Galerie Bahnwärterhaus Esslingen
The video of the installation is based on an old Super 8 amateur film. It's projected onto a small sheet of squared paper which is suspended from the ceiling on Nylon threads. It shows a man and a woman who are running across a meadow, stop, come closer and then touch each other. What are they doing? Is it a love scene? Or some kind of game? The situation suddenly assumes a menacing air. Is the couple arguing? Or is even some kind of crime taking place?

Video Installation
(display, ceiling stand, DVD player)
The video of the installation is based on an old Super 8 amateur film. It's shown onto a small display which is fixed on a ceiling stand. It shows a young couple in a snowscape. What are they doing? They seem involved in behaviour oscillating ambiguously between play and mutual threat.
